Remember the Year Breakfast 2024

  • Conrad Hotel Minato City, Tokyo, 105-7337 Japan (map)

Event Details

Meal: Full, 3 course breakfast

Price: ¥6,500

Payment: Cash, or directly to the hotel

As we approach the end of the year, it’s time for our annual bonenkai—a moment to pause, reflect, and, in true Japanese tradition, “forget the year.” However, in our typically Western analytical style, let’s also take this opportunity to remember, share, and compare insights from 2024 while looking ahead to what might unfold in 2025.

This gathering will be an open and interactive session, with no designated main speaker. Instead, we invite you to come prepared with three key points to share—whether they’re lessons learned, challenges faced, or predictions for the future. It’s a chance to exchange perspectives in a relaxed yet thought-provoking setting. As we navigate an era of shifting global trends—particularly as globalization seems to ebb in certain respects—this event offers an invaluable forum to align our thoughts and foster optimism in the face of uncertainty. On that note, the character from the French cartoon Asterix and Obelix who fretted about “the heavens falling on our heads” feels strikingly relevant today, especially with looming concerns about the global climate. Yet, as always, a measured optimism remains essential.
