“The first 100 days” Glen Fukushima on Trump

Glen Fukushima, an adviser to the Delphi Network, and one of the foremost experts on US-Japan relations, is dropping in for breakfast to discuss Trump’s first 100 days in office.

We apologize for the last-minute announcement but we think it is worth the rush to alert you to his speech.

Glen, currently a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington DC, has the perfect vantage point to evaluate the new president.

We have recently had Arthur Mitchell address the constitutional angle and Mike Alfant the small business angle, and Glen will complement these valuable perspectives with comments on:

-Abe/Trump relations seem warm, but tearing up TPP and threatening Toyota are ominous. Whither trade in a protectionist administration? Trade is essential to Japan’s growth given its stagnant domestic market. Trade with the US is also essential for China and South Korea, both vital trade partners to Japan.

-Trump’s crushing defeat on health care. What does this signature policy defeat mean for Trump? Where does this leave his prestige? And how could he lose given his overwhelming Republican majority?

-Trump’s personal style and agenda. From appointing Steve Bannon to the NSC and waging war on mainstream media, Trump has ruled as disruptively as he campaigned. But as the defeats pile up, will he need to conciliate?

Come and hear Glen analyze the actions of the most disruptive man on the planet!
